Core Vision

The "Core Vision" for the project is your ideal vision of the spa or wellness center you wish to create to allow your clients to achieve their most important health & wellness goals. Your vision is "unique" and is the foundation of the wellness business to be created. It is in the conceptual blueprint that is essential to manifest your vision of an ideal wellness business. The wellness business could be a spa, wellness center, skin care center, fitness center, wellness retreat or a holistic combination of these wellness approaches. The first step in working with you is to fully develop your core vision to a level that allows the other key elements to sequentially develop. We use our expertise and experience from researching spa and wellness programs nationally and internationally to facilitate this process. Our experience includes detailed research by visiting leading spas and wellness centers, both modern and historical, in Germany, France, Greece, India, Japan, Thailand, Bali and of course, the USA and Canada. Each wellness business, both modern and historical, represents a dynamic expression of the vision of those who created it. One example is the ancient Greek healing sanctuary on the island of Kos (above photo - right), which is the site where Hippocrates lived, worked and taught. From the holistic vision and healing center of Hippocrates has come many of our modern day concepts and approaches for holistic health & wellness. Like Hippocrates, every client has their own special vision for their wellness business.

Client's Health & Wellness Goals

The starting point is developing the Core Vision is to do develop a clear understanding of the health & wellness goals that the wellness business plans to help their clients achieve. The following is a summary of the primary health & wellness goals of most clients:

  • Daily Wellness: optimal daily levels of physical, mental and emotional energy, wellness and balance
  • Appearance & Beauty
  • Fitness
  • Healthy (anti-aging)
  • Prevention of Health & Wellness Problems
  • Enhancement of greater mental, emotional and spiritual potential
  • Symptoms
  • Rehabilitation
  • Major Medical

Your business will provide a combination of programs and treatments based on your core vision. A skin care center and fitness center will have specific programs and treatments for their clients. A holistic health & wellness center may offer additional programs to cover a broader range of health & wellness goals. And today, we even find more medical clinics integrating alternative programs as part of an integrative medical trend.

Wellness Programs & Treatments

The next step is to decide what specific wellness programs and treatments your business will offer. This is a very creative and interesting step as well as a key step for designing the facility layout, equipment, choosing products to be used and types of therapists to be hired and trained. The wellness programs and treatments are based on your core vision and will have theme that expresses this vision. We work closely with you in developing this step as the basis to formulating a complete working business plan. Once the core vision has been created, the next step is to develop the business plan.  Business Plan

  Business Plan

Based on the Core Vision for your wellness business, it is now possible to develop the Business Plan which is the next step in manifesting your concept for your wellness business into a functioning wellness business.

  • Marketing Plan
A key element of the  business plan is to develop a creative and successful marketing plan.

Once the business plan if formulated and the necessary financing for the project is secured, the next phase is to take your wellness business from the concept stage to a business that is ready to begin operating. This stage requires a carefully developed and managed timeline.

The marketing program must developed and implemented before the opening of the business. All of this involves working with contractors, equipment and product suppliers as well as hiring and training a complete team of staff and therapists.

At this stage, we work closely with you to develop a detailed project timeline that will allow you to more successfully and less stressfully, management of this phase of the project. We will also assist you at this stage to help stay on schedule and budget.

Operational Phase

The operations phase of the wellness business begins when the business opens its doors and begins functioning. The first few months after the business begins operating is a key time when adjustments are made in all areas of the ongoing functioning of the business to improve the successful outcome of each these areas of operation. This is the stage of the business when operations are fine-tuned to improve the success and efficiency of daily activity of the business. Adjustments are made based on feedback from clients, therapist and staff and also by comparing financial analysis of the actual operations of the business to the initial financial projections.
